301 is the short version of the classic X01 game: each player starts with 301 points, subtracts what they score with three darts per visit and must finish exactly on zero with a double. It is the format of choice in pubs, bars and many amateur leagues because a leg takes a few minutes and a strong scorer cannot run away with it.
Our 301 scoreboard keeps track of everything for you: remaining score, busts, checkout suggestions, darts thrown and your 3-dart average. Play alone against a bot, with friends on one phone, or as a tournament with sets and legs.
Set up the game in seconds and let the scoreboard do the maths: it subtracts every visit from 301, flags busts and keeps the turn order.
Choose the format (first to one leg by default, or sets and legs), add 1 to 5 players and, if you like, a bot opponent with one of five levels.
Each player throws three darts per visit and enters the total scored. The scoreboard subtracts it from the remaining 301 and shows the checkout when one is on.
Finish exactly on zero with a double to win the leg. The result, the darts thrown and the 3-dart average are saved to your account if you are signed in.
Singles score the number, the outer ring doubles it and the inner ring trebles it. The outer bull scores 25 and the inner bull 50. The highest visit is 180 (three treble 20s). Playing 301, the scoreboard shows your remaining score, your 3-dart average and the suggested checkout as soon as you are within 170.
A 301 leg can be finished in six darts (180, then 121 with treble 20, treble 11 and double 14). For most players a leg takes between 12 and 24 darts, so one good visit changes everything.

With only 301 to go, you are in checkout range after two visits. Aim to leave 32, 40 or 50, not an odd number, so you have a double to go for.
On a low score, a loose dart costs the whole visit. Below 100, count before you throw and play the safe single when the treble is not needed.
The scoreboard shows your average after every visit. A 301 leg in 15 darts means an average of about 60, which is solid club level.
The minimum is six darts: 180 with the first three and a 121 checkout (treble 20, treble 11, double 14) with the next three. Amateur players usually need between 12 and 24 darts.
Not in the standard rules, which are the ones the scoreboard uses. Some pub and league rules require a double in; if that is your case, enter 0 for the visits before your first double.
Only the starting score. 301 is faster and more about finishing, while 501 is the professional format and rewards heavy scoring. The rules on doubles and busts are the same.
